I'm off to Lebanon & Jordan for a week to do rapworkshops in Palestinian refugee camps, together with Den Sorte Skole & Ladybox! Read more about the project here:http://www.dccd.dk/dai.nsf/Doc/den_sorte_skole?OpenDocument
I've been busy lately..like when am I not. This weekend I've been performing and hanging out with rapper Azagaia from Mocambique (sorry i can't be bothered to post a link but you'll find lots in danish media these past days..) as well as MC/Produxer Boikutt from Palestine. Me & Boikutt also have a gig @ Cinemateket the 18th..yeah be there! I've been to 2 dance battles in 2 days with the Flow fam, performed and now I have one week to more or less finish my next release!!
CPH Fashion week this week too..and I look like I've had sex with a tornado! Fuck!
It's finally here...released just 5 hours ago. What can I say other than BEAUTIFUL. Some fine day I'll get myself together and upload my footage from this song live in Berlin that I shot last month...like I said..some fine day.
I've been back from Berlin Fashion Week almost a week now but haven't had 1 day off to actually unpack yet. We did the Bright Tradeshow which was pretty dope, lots of skater boys, rock n'roll and beers then we bussed off to see the Tony Hawk Skateshow which was too awesome...followed by a N.E.R.D concert, we then jumped in a cab to catch a nice dj set from A-Trak at Cookies and so many nights followed including Bread & Butter, Janelle Monáe intimate concert (!!!!), lots of sekt (that's german champagne), 39 degrees humidity and windstill days, crate diggin and hanging with my baws KCL, Nico, Anders and DJ That Fucking Sara.
I was supposed to be in London yesterday but plans fell through, which in a way is good because i have 5 days to plan an entire music video...of which I am the leading figure.
I am like waaaaay too busy to be blogging, but I need to hear myself write..or yeah you know. Work is hectic, music is hectic, life is hectic! I've spent the entire day as the unofficial hip hop travelguide preparing for Berlin..
Day after tomorrow we are off to do not one but TWO fashion fares, namely Bread & Butter and Bright Tradeshow, the latter which a good designer-friend of ours tipped us on last time we bought a collection from them...check them out they rock! -----> www.superhorstjansen.de <---------
If you look under "where to buy", you'll see we're the exclusive carrier of this brand in DK! Yeah cuz we're ill like that!
Anyway my job is basically to check out what to buy for the summer collection 2011. It's kind of a dream for fashion lovers but we're just like in it for the free drinks and bags...lots of bags.
Oh and I landed a live gig on Friday too at this awesome club called TAPE CLUB. I'm doing a show at their "YO! Remember the 90's" party which should be fun since I was born way before so I can actually remember those days...
Spread the word if you have some Berlin friends, they can come say hi! to me :-D FACEBOOK EVENT HEREEEEEE: www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=136753709684247#!/event.php?eid=136753709684247&ref=ts

Ok Bye! I might blog from Berlin and bless my 3 readers with some photo's....
Wow. it's been an intense last week. I went to the wedding of my brother from another mother, met some ghosts from the past and survived without even chuckin down an entire bottle of wine...seriously if you know the story, this is when you clap your little hands.
My french date and I (looking quite chinese..)
The bride and groom looking official. etc etc etc.
I left "the city" (gaaah so fucking brainwashed by commercialism that I now think of Whitney Port whenever I say that!)four days ago, and just came home to my lovely vesterbro apartment.
I have been on a spiritual journey. No not the kind where you seek a guru, meditate and cry for hours in a dark room. I've simply been to "the motherland" (or mine anyway), Sweden with my parents. They rent a house often by the "swedish côte d'azur" aka. Österlen.
This being my first vacation day, I chose to shoot in b/w as to not reveal my very white body :-O
My room
This morning I had breakfast on the beach, twirling my sun burnt red toes in the sand, drinking black black coffee and munching on sweetbread and now i'm back to sirens, car noise and people with attitude (P.W.A). I used to HATE the countryside...and I still have a strange relationship with it. I'm a city girl, always have been..love my concrete, the sketchy people, the noise, the neon lights...but this time it was different. Nature and silence was exactly what I needed. I really feel like a new person. calm. thoughtful - NOT busy, stressed, outrageous Tia and i'm kind of liking this new red face i see in the mirror.... *singing I'm starting with the lobster in the mirror oh yeah*..
Literally in the backyard..
When I came back, of course I couldn't help logging into facebook after 3 full days of absence!
Then I threw some old flowers out and made art in my trashcan...LOLZ
Today, One year ago I was in a Nice (yeah it was NICE and it was in Nice)summerhouse with my fam totally carefree until I found out about the passing of MJ. I was raised on Michael and Jackson 5, and have been a serious collector since I was 7 years old. It still hurts that he's gone, there will never be an artist like him. I'm sure all that pain is what made him almost superhuman, and may he rest in a better world.
Today one year later it's funny how my own "artistic pain" has led me to be a better rapper and so much has happened for me in the last year.MJJ will forever be my biggest inspiration!
The newest Theophilus London mixtape is in the building and i'm becoming a fan. I donwloaded (yep they're all free) his previous mixtape "This charming mixtape" about 1 year ago and had an ambivalent relationship with it..a bit too abstract and actually not tight enough, the only track that really got me was this one;
However, "I want you" is really nice. Just don't download it if you hate synthesizers. Link to free download here: http://theophiluslondon.net
DONE.That's what I am! Ok so I have to release, record a musicvideo, feature on endless albums and do some more live gigs + work but I am free of fuckin theory!!
Yesterday I had my exam and I passed with a 10! more than satisfied, but regardless of grade I am just so happy that my little babies (they're not actually babies it's just that I am the oldest one in my group=mama tia)all passed with good grades and had a good learning experience because that means I have done my job as a group leader well! After my exam I ran to catch the train to Halmtorvet and ran right up on stage and performed for a private fundraising event intended to support Freemuse (www.freemuse.org), the ONLY NGO in the world that works against music censorship and for the freedom of expression for artists. It was really nice, I got props from all these old board excecutives, cultural ministry department employees etc. and this one 60+ lady told me her daughter was a big fan of me, and although she didn't really listen to "hip-hop" I was the best rapper she had ever heard. gotta luv it.
After that I went home to take a little nap since I had been up, stressing since 7 however I was woken up 15 mins later as I had to practise with KCL for my next show on Sunday in VEGA! Then I had to get ready and run over to meet my girls for burgers and drinks to celebrate we are done. I disovered this awesome breakfast alternative.
And me & Oly were drunk and Inga came up with more great memorable quotes such as "I punched him in the face-Quick as a bunny." LOLZ -We also decided that it would be amazing if we could all just co-exist in one big blob because our minds would then be the greatest ever <3 my babies!!!
Finished off the night at Riesen in some kind of bisexual party and walked home as it got light humming sinatra. All in all: today was a good day!
